Why BKA

The Network - Building Knowledge & Acceptance knows  that not all women are created equal.

Some women face additional challenges and stigmas relating to culture, ethnicity, religion or sexuality. BKA exists to give women the confidence they need and serves as an essential Network for newcomer, repatriate, expatriate, immigrant and refugee women in need of support and assistance as they build a new life in a new country.

We believe that by enriching and strengthening the lives of immigrant women, we in turn create a stronger and more vibrant community for all. By facilitating immigrant integration, we can strengthen and enrich the entire community.

BKA strives to be a Network where women can thrive and be themselves, confident that every aspect of their identity, culture and background is valued and respected. To foster a truly inclusive culture, it is essential that we take proactive steps to educate and celebrate all experiences, enabling our community to demonstrate and champion equity, diversity and inclusion, always.

We are here to support all women, including transgender women, and non-binary people who feel their gender expression connects with BKA values.
